To start this is one of the highest ‘premium’ quality and clever/quirky and down right fun vs price I think I’ve had. There are so many nice little touches and the instructions are actually really good. Then the whole thing fits together so smoothly. I’m not an ‘unboxing’ kinda guy but I have to confess to loving every minute!(ESPECIALLY as a crazy taskmaster fan!)
As to the thing itself believe the hype this will be the most powerful heating element you have handled. Up to now I had a pretty standard storz and bickel volcano set up which is a great everyday set up for medical use. But if you do happen to have some pleasant tasting buds then they will become powerhouses of flavour all of a sudden. You’ll think it’s a different strain as previously hidden or murky flavours (particularly the bass notes) will become crisp and clear adding whole new dimensions to even some of the less inspiring medical strains.
But also believe it will be as strong in hit as it is in flavour. Firstly obviously you don’t just need a bubbler you want the right bubbler. Having one from Ripping Terps guarantees that great premium feel in the connections with everything just sliding into place. Also it’ll have to be up to the job of managing the clouds this is capable of. The one I ordered wasn’t in stock and my email decided to be a pain yet they slipped a note into my box (ooooh errrr missus) and offered me replacement or refund. As my original strategy had been to pick the biggest I could see I asked them to pick and it’s almost perfect, I think the little extra cooling would help with a longer session but they gave me a refund for the difference and it was all handled very quickly and professionally. Like I said premium. Too often something like that would be months of emails and confusion.
Sadly to make my next point it seems easiest to use very aggressive ‘masculine’ imagery which seems to be against the vibes of the device itself so while it may not be optimal I will try to explain this in a more subtle manner before offering the more precise masculine version – the difference between the volcano and this is like the difference between using a grill to brûlée your crème and a blow torch. Both do the job but the blow torch unquestionably does it better. You just wouldn’t want to cook every meal with a blow torch. I did say it was suboptimal.
Or it’s the difference between a semi automatic and a fully automatic gun. Most of the time you’d much prefer the flexibility, reliability and efficiency of a semi automatic. But to butcher Samuel L Jackson in ‘Jackie Brown’ when you absolutely positively need to f**k up every motherf’er in the room accept no substitute! You want a ball vape. Will there one day be something more powerful to use with flower? Yes. Is there anything close to offering the power with the taste this rig does today? No.
But for some the grill/uzi will do the job just fine. No real connoisseur though would consider it to be a true crème brûlée unless a M2 browning was used to make it.
So buy this. Or don’t I already have one so it’s no skin off my nose. Just always know you will never ever come as close to fully experiencing this beautiful plant as I just did without one.
